Ronaldo breaks silence over tax fraud

Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has denied reports that he allegedly committed tax fraud in Spain.

The 32-year-old has been fingered out in a tax fraud investigation with claim that the FIFA Player of the year defrauded Spanish Tax authorities of about 14.7 million euros between 2011 and 2014.

Reports in Spain claim that tax authorities have filed a lawsuit against Ronaldo for allegedly committing tax fraud under the disguise of a “business structure” to cover up income from his image rights in Spain.

Responding to the allegation, Cristiano Ronaldo’s agency,  Gestifute said in a statement: “There is no tax evasion scam. There has never been any hiding nor any intention to hide anything from tax authorities,”
