Nigeria Has Been Celebrating ‘Arsenal Day’ For Ten Years

No, this is not a dream. There is a day entirely dedicated to the London football club, on December 28 to be precise. “How come I never heard of it?” I hear you say. Well, maybe it is because this “Arsenal Day” day is only celebrated in Okene, Nigeria and this has been since 2006.

Fully kitted out in Arsenal colours, all the Gunners fans in the region meet in Okene around a massive banquet and share their passion for the club.  That’s a beautiful proof of support for a team that has rarely deserved such from its supporters in recent years.

Since the inception of Arsenal Day in 2006, the Gunners have only won two England Cups and two Community Shields. This event shows that passion has neither limits nor borders…

Now i am see many more clubs fans celebrating their team next year cos 9ja own cannot even chill
